Do you remember this little guy? This is Teriyaki. I adopted him from Mostly Mutts about 6 years ago. I remember Cheryl assuring me that if he was a problem I could bring him back, which is what happened to him twice before I adopted him. I made up my mind that I would take the responsibility seriously, and Teriyaki was coming home for good. For our first few months together Teriyaki was… difficult, and sometimes downright nasty. But once he realized that he was “home” his attitude started to mellow, and he has been a pleasant, loving companion ever since. He’s a friendly little guy. I think he loves the cat almost as much as me, and she doesn’t even give him food!
I’ve always been glad that I chose to bring him home. It wasn’t always easy, but it has definitely been rewarding.
